Petrobras Capital expenditures were a Record R$ 53.3 billion, a increase of 17.8% from 2007.

Our combined average domestic and foreign production of oil and natural gás totaled 2,400 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per Day (boed), na increase of 4.3% over 2007.

The domestic production of natural gás reached na average of 51 million m3/Day, an increase of 4.3% over 2007.

Petrobras went through 2008 with serenity and attained rewarding results, such as the oil discoveries in the pre-salt and a

record net profit of R$33 billion, 53% more than a year earlier.

The increased average oil and oil product prices in the international market, the higher oil product prices in the domestic market, and the increased sales volumes boosted the net operating

revenue to R$215.1 billion, a 26.1% surge compared to 2007.

The EBITDA topped-out at R$57,170 million, 14% more than the previous year’s.

680,000 tons of carbon dioxide were avoided.
